ALD Automotive helps the Bulgarian Red Cross in its efforts against COVID-19, providing two cars to be used by the teams of employees and volunteers in Sofia and the country.
In the challenging times of COVID-19 pandemic, mobility is key to enabling all teams in the first line to help the population in coping with the emergency situation. As a leader in the mobility solutions, ALD Automotive is responsible to support the society in this challenging battle with relevant resources.
The vehicles lent by ALD Automotive to Bulgarian Red Cross will be used predominantly in Sofia, which at this point is the most affected by the virus city in Bulgaria. Teams of the Bulgarian Red Cross, working with the most vulnerable groups of the population and helping them to face the challenges of the crisis environment, will use the vehicles mainly to deliver food, medicines, etc.
The local initiative of ALD Automotive in Bulgaria in cooperation with Bulgarian Red Cross is part of ALD Solidarity Plan - the global CSR program of ALD Automotive Group in support of the fight against COVID-19. Within this global program ALD is supporting the fight against the disease in all regions where the Group is present through different initiatives, including lending company assets to those who are in the frontline, giving to the community and supporting the most vulnerable suppliers and customers.
