ALD Automotive expands its support to the fight against the negative effects of COVID-19 in Bulgaria, presenting one car to the Northwestern Project to facilitate the organization in their mission. The main focus of the foundation is helping the people in the Northwestern part of Bulgaria to live worthily – the elderly people to keep their independence, and the young – to have opportunities for development.
The vehicle lent by ALD Automotive to the Northwestern Project will be used mainly by the teams working with elderly people in the Northwestern part of the country for deliveries of food, medicines, etc.
In the challenging times of COVID-19 pandemic, mobility is key to enabling all teams in the first line to help the population in coping with the extraordinary situation. As a leader in the mobility solutions, ALD Automotive is responsible to support the society in this challenging battle with relevant resources.
ALD Automotive has already supported the Bulgarian Red Cross in its efforts against COVID-19, providing two cars to be used by the teams of employees and volunteers in Sofia and the country.
The local initiatives of ALD Automotive in Bulgaria in cooperation with Bulgarian Red Cross and the Northwestern Project are part of ALD Solidarity Plan - the global CSR program of ALD Automotive Group in support of the fight against COVID-19. Within this global program ALD is supporting the fight against the disease in all regions where the Group is present through different initiatives, including lending company assets to those who are in the frontline, giving to the community and supporting the most vulnerable suppliers and customers.
