ALD Automotive is pleased to announce that the company is now part of the Corporate pledge program BLAGODETEL Company of UNICEF in Bulgaria– one of the most reputable United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.
The support of ALD Automotive for UNICEF is part of the ALD CSR program, covering different areas of support and cooperation with the society in Bulgaria. The program is based on the strategic directions of ALD and adapted to the local specifics and needs of the communities.
ALD Automotive joined UNICEF’s BLAGODETEL Company programme and supports UNICEF’s mission engaging with its initiatives in the long-term through regular donations and activities, all sharing one single purpose – the protection of children’s rights.
In the country the cooperation program of UNICEF and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2018-2022 is focused to enable all children and adolescents, including the most disadvantaged, to enjoy their rights and develop to their full potential in an inclusive and protective society.
The support for UNICEF is an important step within ALD Automotive CSR program in Bulgaria, initiative that has been launched this year to support the fight against COVID-19 and the adaptation of the society to the new situation. In this direction, earlier in 2020, the company established 2 important partnerships with NGOs which are focused on the most vulnerable groups of the population.
In April, ALD Automotive provided 2 cars to the Bulgarian Red Cross to be used by the employees and volunteers in Sofia and the country while in July, the company expanded its support to the Northwestern Project by providing one car to facilitate the organization in their mission.
ALD Automotive continues to consider new initiatives and causes to include in its CSR program to develop further over the next years.
